Bassist, arranger, composer and producer.

Well known Christian musician, born on January 16, 1975. Calderón began playing guitar and then added bass to his repertoire in his church band, where he discovered that bass would be his main instrument. Inspired by great musicians including Abraham Laborial, Brian Bromberg and Marcus Miller, he began to discover and develop different techniques and styles (rock, gospel, fusion, jazz, funk, Latin, blues). With a career spanning 23 years, he has toured in Mexico and abroad with MCV, LA TIERRA PROMETIDA, RUHT RIOS, MARCO BARRIENTOS, MARIA DEL SOL, YURI, ALEJANDRO ALONSO, DANILO MONTERO, MIGUEL CASSINA, JAIME MURELL, SUSANA HARP and KALIMBA, among many others. He is currently director for the JAIME MURELL band and bassist for KALIMBA.

He uses Jimmy Wess Professional Nickel Wound strings.

5-string bass: 045, 065, 085, 105, 125

4-string bass: 045, 065, 080, 105

"The strings resonate with me because of the type of winding they use, which doesn't hurt my fingers
and keeps the clarity and brightness I need in the techniques I use, and they're durable."

Testimonial:

The quality of their materials, which makes them competitive with Ernie Ball or DR. The quality is very good, and they are less expensive. High quality, excellent product range and affordable price: as a bass player, that's what I look for. Jimmy Wess is also committed to the quality it provides and to serving musicians, with their needs in mind, and to the mindset of growing and doing things better.
